This picture was taken by my mom, Mary Drover in Waterville, Trinity Bay after hurricane Igor. The road to her home was washed out and the mud surrounded her home to about four feet. The NTV news was there and her home was featured on the newsreel (Random Island). The mud rose so high as to competely cover her lawnmover in her front yard. She stayed there alone for three days without power until a longliner was able to send a dingy in to the local wharf to rescue her and bring her to Clarenville with family! She is 78 years old. A testament to the strength of Newfoundlanders and the beauty of our people and province.   Submitted By: Terri Drover
