Butterfly Wings and Spring
I love spring
it happens every year
the swift movement of butterfly wings
the chirp of a bird from a tree
Wholesome air carries a breeze
so grand, so warm, so sweet
I thank you for blooms
that don't make me wheeze
Colours of green, purple, orange and blue
bees fly all around those flowers
to land on bushes amidst dew
it's a privilege for sure
I can dance around, as is my due
I hope to lay in all the clover
the weeds and dandelions too
spring up all the field over
