In May 2013, Pat & Dave Stratton, Beverley Howe & Steve Gale of Corner Brook, NL took a 30 day bus tour through Europe. There were 39 other passengers on the bus, they were from different parts of Australia and New Zealand. Many great friendships were formed and continued through Facebook over the years. Mr. Ian Sturrock of Cremorne, NSW, came to Newfoundland twice to visit with the Newfoundlanders. (His girlfriend Nancy accompanied him on his first visit.) In April of 2019, the Newfoundlanders decided to travel to Australia & New Zealand. Mr. Sturrock decided to plan a reunion and he worked tirelessly to arrange a reunion dinner at the Kirribilli Club in Sydney, Australia.He also planned a week of activities for the 21 people who attended the reunion. It was an amazing night for all who attended the function including members of Mr. Sturrock's family.A highlight of the night included a video conference with a couple, Mario & Louisa who were unable to attend due to medical reasons. It is a testament to friendship when people who live so far apart can come together to enjoy each other's company after 6 years. There are talks of this Group coming together in a couple of years.
