Dear Ron; In the October (2103) issue of Downhome you mentioned the MV Christmas Seal. My sister, Rose-Lee Snelgrove (nee Richards), was the x-ray technician on that boat. After leaving that she worked at the Janeway. She was married to Vern Snelgrove, who was a prof at MUN. Her son, Paul, is a prof at MUN and you had a picture of him in a previous issue. Also in a previous issue you wrote about the SS Kyle. One of the crew was Lewis Windsor, a fireman, and he was going out with my older sister, Grace Richards. One evening I was with Lew aboard the Kyle and he was on watch in the stoke hole. He said, “Robert, you stay here and watch that dial. If it goes down, put on a shovel of coal.” Meanwhile, he went ashore to visit Grace, who worked in a restaurant.   Submitted By: NULL
