I remember the day long ago when my parents told me very well

They called me over from the next yard from my friends to tell

I cried that day and couldn’t be consoled

We were only moving from one community to the next but I couldn’t behold

From the lively ‘Gultch’ in Gull Island, home of my Father
To serene Northern Bay, home of my Mother

On the day of the big move I was at school outside for Sports day

I watched my house drive by until it went away

We were able to stay with my Aunt and Uncle for a bit

Until we got our house all set up and fit

Even though some of the friendships I made in Gull Island waned

I treasure the Northern Bay long lasting friendships I gained

I have so many memories of both communities and I love them dearly

Through them I can still see all their scenic views so clearly~
