Mom I love when you do that, says my son

When you cut up apples and oranges and you give me some

I used to do it all the time for his older brothers when they were wee

Like my father always used to do for me

To this day I can't eat an apple the way you should

I have to cut it in slices and it tastes some good

It's the cute little things we pick up from our Mom and Dad

They stay with us always and for that I am glad.
