Beaver’s Breakfast
I was vacationing in Newfoundland with my grandparents. We were at their cabin in Howley, so me and my Nana decided to take a walk along Grand Lake. Suddenly, to our right we heard rustling in the woods. The first thing I thought of was "oh no, a coyote!" so I stepped back. But to our surprise, out comes this little beaver, carrying a 6-foot long branch! As soon as he saw us, he scurried away and jumped in the water, still holding the branch in his mouth. When he was far enough into the water, he started munching on the twigs. I was happy I had my camera with me, and when my Nana saw the picture later, she was surprised a 12-year old could take such a great picture. (if you can, the picture looks better when it's zoomed in a bit.) Submitted By: Gabrielle Crossley
