Beach School, Bell Island (1921)
My husband Oliver and I were both born and raised on Bell Island, N.L. We left there in 1966 when the mines closed and moved to Peel Village, Brampton. We left there in 2011 and moved to a lovely condo in a seniors complex. My brother Bert and sister Maud are among the students in the old photo enclosed. My brother Clarence was playing nearby and is also in the photo. What wonderful memories you bring us through your Downhome magazine. We look forward to each months publications. Thank you and keep up the good work.
