Autumn Frost
Autumn Frost The country hills are turning red For fall has nipped the berry ground In early morning it is there It came last night without a sound The morning cloak of dusty white Will vanish with the rising sun But it stays long enough to show The run to winter has begun The days are shorter now by sun The daylight hours go swiftly by From noon until the eventide These hours now just seem to fly It seems like only yesterday That spring came round, received with joy And now that winter looms ahead For spring again we give a sigh Submitted By: wayne taylor
