Autumn
The leaves fall softly,
Patchwork quilt upon the ground.
Greens turn pale, then into
yellows, reds and browns.
The harvests are in
As the air rings crisply cool.
Wrap warmly your cloak about you.
The birds wing silently to the south
With the seasons ever changing mood.
While the squirrel gathers his winter stores,
The bear leaves his domain
To winters hollow calling
As he looks to slumber in some hidden den.
With the Earth's changing colours
Comes a serene and lasting peace.
