April’s Visit
Mar. 22/11
A poem from my book entitled Slices of Life. I had this booklet published and copyrighted in 1997, while residing at Elliot Lake, Ontario.
I would like to share this poem with your reading subscribers. I've recently written about 15 more, and plan to have all poems (approximately 61) republished if I can find a publisher willing to do them. They deal with all aspects of life (birthdays, anniversaries, war, death, loneliness, seasons, etc.).
April's Visit
April makes a visit
And our world becomes refreshed.
The rejuvenating showers
Have put our fears to rest.
Long, bright, sunny daytimes
Aiding nature's growth -
The beauties of creation
Now wear a springtime cloak.
Early sunrise mornings
And lacy, cloudy skies -
God's creatures now do multiply
Before our watching eyes.
April pays a visit
And our world is fast transformed.
Once again the springtime
Has to our earth returned.
