Total attendees 104 !!<br /> We had Newfoundlanders from guess where? Newfoundland and Labrador!! Also from NB, NS and Ontario. As well as all of the New England states, Ohio , Minnesota and England. It sure was a pleasure to see and visit with longtime friends and to meet new ones. There were many service folks who had been stationed in Argentia and Fort Pepperell. It was heartwarming to hear how much they loved Newfoundland and its people. Those who couldn't be with us for various reasons were surely missed and it goes without saying , we will never forget and will lovingly remember those who have passed on.<br /> Marg Flaherty led us in the Ode to Newfoundland. Thank you Marg!<br /> We thoroughly enjoyed the later entertainment by Beth, Troy, Frank &amp; Paul. Thanks so much!<br /> Wannabees and Honorary Newfoundlanders are always among us. This year we Screeched in three more to add to the list: Beth Torpey Revels, Jennifer Morgan and Christine Swift.. I must say they are proud of their title! By now, hopefully their certificates are framed.<br /> The Squid Jiggers (www.squidjiggers.com) entertained us with lots of fun tunes including great Newfoundland songs. They got the crowd singing and dancing . Again this year, they had George Morgan sing Aunt Martha's Sheep. Great job George!<br /> The mummers showed up and added to the festivities in their usual frolicking style.<br /> We feasted on all kinds of delicious Newfoundland dishes. Thanks to everyone who made this an extreme bountiful buffet. The Fitzpatricks made a jigg's dinner which was awesome.<br /> Raffle prizes went over extremely well. Much appreciation to the many NL businesses and friends who donated items and made this a fun time. Also, thanks to Lena, Colleen and Michael for having it run so smoothly.<br /> Thanks to all for the great help before and after the Picnic.
