Along The Shore
Stroll along her rugged shore,
O’er granite stones washed clean.
No footprints will you leave behind
As though you’ve never been.
Rugged cliffs and ocean blue,
Surround the pristine isle,
And once you get a taste of her,
You’ll want to stay awhile.
No tidal hiss beside the sea,
Just a gentle, rippling sound,
Stones awash with salty brine,
Plenty of them around!
Vikings stood upon this spot,
To claim this new found land.
An island rich in natural wealth
Cradled in nature’s hand.
