All A-Bourden!
Eric's "Stage"- Bayview, Twillingate
In the foreground is the 13-ft. rowboat that Eric Bourden rowed around New World Island, July 20-21, 2009, at the age of 73 years. A week prior to this adventure, he had rowed around Twillingate South Island. He wasn't able to use the sail, only for a very short time, because the wind was against him. So he had to rely on "arm power" 99 per cent of the time. Eric built the rowboat in 1982, the year the Ocean Ranger sank. He was working on it when he heard of the disaster.
