Afternoon Repose
My mom, Patsy Tulk, seated on a bluff above red rocks overlooking St. George's Bay. In the left centre of the photo can be seen the island of Sandy Point, still a busy community when this photo was taken in 1953. It's now deserted, all buildings destroyed, scavenged, or burned down. Only a couple of graveyards and a lighthouse remain as a testament to a once thriving community. Submitted By: Steve Adam
