After the War
My Aunt Anne Russell (Dean) took this picture of Pier 21 in Halifax, NS, on her return to Canada after the War. She was born and lived in Botwood, NL, until she was 20 years old, then moved to Toronto. She enlisted in the Canadian Women's Army Corps on Dec. 17th, 1942 and was discharged on July 29th, 1946. During those years she was posted to Ottawa, Canada, London, England and Bad Zwischenahn, Germany. She visited Botwood last week; she is now 88 yrs. old. Submitted By: NULL
