A Rhyme About My Fence
My fence always defines my space It keeps my private world within Far away from the human race From society and its din Let bevies of birds come and go The autumn leaves fall as they may Let the seeds drop and start to grow In nature's way that is so gay Maybe my grass is cut and green And my world kept in circumspect To many it may seem serene A place to sit in retrospect My fence which does surround my yard Its borders perhaps a bit cruel A place where I like to keep guard While loving others is my rule With no bounds it may be better A place where money wasn't king My fence would not prove a fetter And love through each rafter would ring But the world for sure is not such And moreover may never be Even if hearts with care we touch Would still perhaps refuse to see Frank Rowe St. John's Submitted By: NULL
