A PLACE CALLED HOME
"What's about Newfoundland"" they all ask, ""That Newfies always keep going back."" ""There's no life like it"" the Newfs reply. ""Send me back there if I die"". It's the people you see, they are the best. The ocean and land make up the rest. Friendly and courteous, they are to me, Born and raised that way, you see. Fight to survive, whatver may be. The beauty of nature at our door, stories of fishermen's along our great shores. ""You can't take a man from the sea"" Forever in his blood, it will be.. I, too, am a Newfie, not willing to leave I left before and how I grieved For a life I knew and longed for again I packed my things and headed home again. Now when people ask why I came home, I tell that Newfoundland is the place I call home. That leaving here would hurt me so ""I'm not leaving unless I have to go"". Jobs and money are not happiness, you see. I't being where you want to be. It's hard to explain when they all ask until you see a Newfie in Port Aux Basques. The look on their faces will say it all, as they enter into that port of call. ""It's good to be home"", they will say "" I'm coming home one day to stay""." Submitted By: NULL
