A year or so ago, my sister-in-law Marilyn Green and I planted the tops of our store-bought pineapples. Well, mine didn't take, so you know my thumb isn't green, but hers took off like a shot, and by Christmas she had a growth on her leafy stalks. It is still getting bigger, so I decided to send you a picture to let people know that we not only have codfish in Newfoundland, we can also grow pineapples. Here's the picture in her kitchen window with snow on the ground outside.
