A Decent Place
A decent place to show your face,
And, even if you cover;
We don’t discriminate with race,
Nor criticize your lover.
We’re easy-going, here, ‘tis clear
And we’re not a crowd of bigots;
Though some may sneer, when on the beer,
It’s only in their spigots.
You’re safe with us, when on the bus,
No matter where you’re heading;
We’d hardly ever make a fuss,
And, never, a beheading.
A few of us are louts and cads,
Who might, a stranger, frighten,
But, in the main, you’d have to strain,
To find our bark, a-bitin’.
