A Day at Work
While working in a cottage hospital we were required to attend to patients who were coming in to see the doctor. On one occasion we had a young lad come in from the local mine for a medical. When the doctor finished asking the lad's medical history he told him to jump up on the table, meaning the examination table, which was behind me. The lad jumped up and climbed up on the doctor's desk. I, on the other hand, had quite a time trying to be professional and keep a straight face. Boy was his face red. Submitted By: margaret isaacs
