A Big Fishie

Myself and my father decided to go fishing Monday evening, May 21st. This had really been the first boating trip since my father purchased his new boat the Friday beforehand. We decided to go to 2nd pond in the Goulds for a couple of hours to get out of the house and to try the new boat. We had been there for about an hour and a half and my dad finally hooked onto a trout. Ahh, it was maybe something worth frying up, but I would have thrown it back!  Lol! My father (Bruce is his name, by the way) said "Oops, looks like I have the biggest fish again," so I kept to myself and figured I would eventually hook one. Not even 2 minutes with the words out of his mouth I had one on!!! I said, "GET THE NET I have something on!" So he started scrambling to get the net, and when I got the fish up to the side of the boat, it was bigger than I had imagined. It weighed in at approx 2 ¼ lbs, but I think my dad's scales are off because they are old. It measured in at 22 inches. I figured that this will probably be the biggest fish that I will ever catch, so I wanted to show the world - and my father - that I caught the biggest fish!!!  Lol!   Submitted By: NULL
