"while shopping recently in zellars with my daughter and my mother (she was up visiting us) we get to the check out with our purchases and the lady at the checkout starts ringing our items through...my four year old daughter suddenly starts tugging on my shirt ""mommy is that a boy or a girl"" of course she is asking about the lady at the check out...i say honey thats a girl (and to try to make this late teen early twentys girl feel better i looked at my daughter and said honey mommy told you before just cause someone has short hair does not mean they are a boy (give myself a secret smile of success another potentially embarressing situation resolved) not this time....she looks back up at me and says...mommy no i dont mean cause of the short hair...i meant cause she has a beard (it was a light moustache:)..."
