"how many of you have teenage children ? mine is fifteen going on thirty, she thinks its her place to drive everywhere we go. you know, she has a ""learner permit"". at the age of fifteen they think they are indestructible. nothing can hurt themit feels like they are driving eighty miles per hour but when i get up enough nerve to take my eyes off the road and look at the speedometer it reads only thirtyfive. there are very sharp creases in my seat covers on the passenger side due to my buttocks trying to grab hold of the only thing they can reach. i think every learner permit should come with a large bottle of asprin. i have thought of having some heavy pipe welded around the car so we can live if we come in contact with anything but my wife says i'm just being over protective. i know, its me i'm trying to protect. br> i can't seem to relax when any teenage child is behind the wheel of any car if i'm a passanger in said auto. i know, i know i was a teenage driver once myself. back then there were very few cars on the road and those that were all knew it was me and got well over out of the way. i gave up drinking about forty years ago. i'm thinking of starting again. just a little mind you, just a wee bit to calm my nerves. - " Submitted By: NULL
