"almost two years ago now my husband and i moved our then three children to the us to tap into the oppurtunity that nursing in the us provides.my oldest son ,adam, then 7 years old, started school shortly there after. after his first day i wanted to speak with his teacher to see how things went. she proceeded to tell me that there had been a problem.i became quite concerned as he never had trouble in sshool before.you see at the beginning of the day here the kids all pledge allegience to the american flag, adam flatly refused. this concerned his teacher greatly. the more she tried to convince him to follow suit the more he refused replying ""i am not an american, i am a newfoundlander!"""
