"It was close to Christmas, My Family had just recently moved to Nova Scotia from Newfoundland My Mother was living in Ontario, and was coming to spend Christmas with us. She decided to send all the christmas parcels for my children through the mail before she herself arrived for the holidays. I was to count them as they arrived, there was supposed to be six! I did as I was told, the parcels were beginning to pile up. Christmas Eve came, My Mother and I were sorting the gifts, she said it seemed there was a Box missing, I said that was impossible, as I counted each one as they arrived and there was indeed six. well, Christmas morning came, we began openning the presents, My then, 10 year old son was so anxious, he had asked for a colour Game Boy for Christmas, and of course, it was one of the presents in the box! We came to the end of the presents, no game boy! My Mother was upset, we all were! we realized there was indeed a parcel missing! We promised My son, on Boxing day, we would buy him another one, and when the parcel arrived we would return the other. So bagan the process of tracking down the missing parcel, hard enough Job in off season, never mind Christmas! Everyday for a week we practically attacked the Mailman before he even had a chance to reach the top of the steps, each day we were dissapointed, and each day my mother remembered more and more things that was in this lost parcel! Two days before NewYears eve, I was trying to clean my bedroom, which was were I had kept all the christmas presents, I was staring at this night table, thinking, when did I get that! then it came to me, it wasn`t a night table at all, it was the parcel! I had so many parcels come, not having enough room left to hide any more in my bedroom, I decided to disguise it as a night table! It Worked! It was like having Christmas all over again! The Mailman was quite happy!!! And me, will I sill havn`t heard the end of it!!!! We Laugh about it all the time- " Submitted By: NULL
