"I am a hunter and I pride myself on being a fair hunter. I hunt big game and birds. mostly partridge. A number of years ago i went hunting with some friends, namely Dolph Warren, Bill Ball and Dolphs son max. We went to what we called the western country.We were a long way from my home town of burgeo and so we camped in a tent for the two nights we were there. Partridge were scarce so we were really straining our eyes to see the birds among the bushes. we wanted to get what we could since we came a long way.Suddenly i thought i saw something and stared hard to make it out.I decided it was a pitcher plant and walked up to it . Suddenly it flew up in my face.Darn ,it was a partridge and i had lost it. my friends laughed til they could not talk. I was embarr ed aaas anyone ccould be.I moved of to an area where i could not hear the laughter . suddenly there it was , large as life . another partridge !!!.This time i was not going to let my sore eyes me and and be a joke to my friends. I creeped up to within gunshot, took careful aim and fired. I stood there amazed and watched bits of the pitcher plant i had just shot fall to earth aand the silence was shattered by my friends as they rolled on the ground in laughter.needless to say i did not sleep much that nite."   Submitted By: NULL
