Dear Downhome, Just want to share my story with all you Downhome readers. Through my parents, George and Maxine Payne of Norris Arm, NL, I have learned that "age" is just a number. Dad is 75 and Mom is 68; they travelled over NL for six summers. They visited every single town and took pictures of each one; also took the ferries to every town in this beautiful province of ours. They camped in their tents, cooked on a Coleman stove and over campfires, and showered in the rivers. As they tell us their stories, their eyes light up; they have certainly fulfilled their dreams. They completed their final destination just a couple of weeks ago, which was "Gray River" and "Francois." What an experience! And to be blessed with good health and strength to complete it. They travelled quite a few places around the world, but they think that nothing is as pretty as Newfoundland. You two are my inspiration. So young at heart and so full of life. I'm sure your journey does not end here...I wonder what's next on the agenda? Submitted By: NULL
