Wild Blueberry Mufffins

2 tbsp shortening
6 tbsp molasses
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
3 large cups flour (heap them up)
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 heaping tsp baking soda
1 cup milk
1 ½ cups wild blueberries (fresh or frozen)

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix together egg, shortening, molasses, sugar and salt. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, and soda. Combine with wet ingredients and add milk. Stir in blueberries with a bit of the flour. Spoon into greased muffin tin. Bake 20 min. Cool out of pan on a wire rack.
