Turnip Fries

1 small turnip, peeled
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 tsp smoked paprika powder
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice turnip like French fries. Combine oil and spices in the bottom of a bowl and mix well. Add fries and toss to coat evenly. Spread fries on a parchment-lined pan and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until inside the turnip is tender and the outside is crisp. Serve with your choice of condiment. Yields 2 servings.
