Tortellini Worth Waiting For

1⁄2 lb ground beef
1⁄2 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
1 (16 oz) jar marinara sauce
1 (4.5 oz) can sliced mushrooms
1 (14.5 oz) can Italian-style diced
tomatoes, undrained
1 (9 oz) package refrigerated or
fresh cheese tortellini
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1⁄2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1⁄2 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
1 (16 oz) jar marinara sauce
1 (4.5 oz) can sliced mushrooms
1 (14.5 oz) can Italian-style diced
tomatoes, undrained
1 (9 oz) package refrigerated or
fresh cheese tortellini
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1⁄2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Add ground beef and Italian sausage to a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly. Drain fat. Combine meats, marinara sauce, mushrooms and tomatoes in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat for 7 to 8 hours. At the end, stir in the tortellini and sprinkle the cheeses over the top. Cover and cook for another 15 min. on low. It is done when the tortellini is tender.
