Steamed Partridgeberry Molasses Pudding

1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup molasses
1/3 cup warm water
2 tbsp shortening, melted
2 tsp soda
2/3 cup Pure Lingonberry (Partridgeberry) Spread

Caramel Sauce:
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups boiling water
Pinch salt
1 tbsp custard powder
2 tbsp cold water
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla

Stir together flour, baking powder and milk. Mix molasses, warm water, shortening and soda. Add to flour mixture. Fold Pure Lingonberry (Partridgeberry) Spread into batter. Pour into greased pudding mould. Cover tightly and place mould on rack in the bottom of deep saucepan. Add boiling water to half the depth of mould to saucepan. Put lid on saucepan and steam for approximately 2 hours, checking frequently to make sure saucepan doesn't boil dry. Serve hot with sauce.

Caramel Sauce: Bring sugar, water and salt to a boil. Mix custard powder with cold water. Add to syrup. Bring to a boil. Add butter and vanilla. Keep warm.
