Salt Pork Toutons

1 cup salt pork, finely chopped (to make scrunchions)
4 cups flour, sifted
8 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup molasses
1 1/2 cups water

Fry out salt pork and drain well. Sift dry into a bowl. Cut in margarine. Add scrunchions and mix well with a fork until pork is well scattered. Combine molasses and water; add to the flour mixture and stir lightly. Roll out on a floured board to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Place on lightly floured baking sheet. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
