Mushroom Caps Stuffed with Herb Cheese

16 medium mushrooms
3 tbsps whipped cream cheese
1 tbsp fresh parsley, or basil
2 tsp parmesan cheese, grated
1 small garlic clove, minced
2 tsp plain, dried bread crumbs

Preheat oven to 450°F. Remove stems from mushrooms and chop (save caps). Using a fork, combine chopped mushrooms, cream cheese, parsley (or basil), parmesan cheese and garlic; mix well. Fill each cap with equal amounts of mixture and arrange in an 8 x 8 non-stick baking pan. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top. Pour 1/4 cup water into bottom of pan and bake approximately 8 - 10 minutes, until mushrooms are fork tender and lightly brown.
