Homemade Meatloaf and Sauce

2 lbs lean ground beef
1/2 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
1/2 cup minced onion
1 egg, slightly beaten
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
5 tbsp brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix meat, bread crumbs, onion and egg in a large bowl. Add sprinkle of salt and pepper. Place into a greased loaf pan. Mix remaining ingredients to make sauce. Spread a thin layer of sauce on top of meatloaf. Cook for one hour. Boil remaining sauce in saucepan and serve with meatloaf.
