Hash Brown Casserole

2 lbs frozen hash browns
2 cups sour cream
1 large can mushroom soup
1/2 cup melted butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
Salt (to taste)
2 cups cheddar cheese, grated

Mix all , except cheese, together. Spread in a 9" x 13" pan. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese (parmesan cheese is optional). Bake at 350°F for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
