Gooseberry Pickles

Difficulty: easy Prep Time: More than 15 Minutes Total Time: More than 1 hour
6 cups gooseberries
6 onions
4 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 tsp each of salt, pepper and cinnamon
2 tsp pickling spices

Soak gooseberries, onions and sugar in vinegar overnight. Next day add res of ingredients and boil until berries are soft. Add to sterilized bottles and seal. These pickles will keep long time.
