Fruit Punch Squares

Difficulty: easy Prep Time: Ten Minutes Total Time: Under an hour
1-14oz can of fruit cocktail (drain and keep juice)
2 eggs
2 1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped nuts (any kind you like)

Topping for squares
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

In a bowl beat eggs and add juice from fruit cocktail. Add flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and vanilla. When mixed it will be thick. Fold in the fruit and put in a 9 x 13 cake pan that has been greased with margarine or cooking spray. Sprinkle coconut on top then top with nuts. Bake at 350°F for 30 - 35 minutes. While baking make your topping.

Place topping ingredients in a pot and cook over medium heat until butter is melted. Boil for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Once your squares are out of the oven pour the topping over the hot squares and let cool. Cut into squares.
