Blueberry Squares

Difficulty: easy Prep Time: Ten Minutes Total Time: Under an hour
Bottom:
3/4 tbsp butter
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp vanilla
2 egg yolks
1/4 tsp salt

TOP:
2 egg whites
6 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup blueberries

Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg yolks, add flour and dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla. Pour in an 8" greased pan. Bake 18 to 20 minutes. Beat 2 egg whites until peaked. Beat in 6 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp salt. Fold in 1 cup blueberries. Spread over baked cake portion. Return to oven until brown at 300°F.
