Since opening in 2009, the Green Moose Interpretation Centre has brought to life the unique relationship between people, the land, and one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s most iconic animals—the moose.
Decades of logging around Roddickton created the ideal habitat for moose, resulting in one of the highest densities in North America. What was once considered an unexpected challenge has become a defining part of our identity and a symbol of our community’s connection to the land.
Today, moose are woven into our culture, our stories, and our future.
