Discover the rich history of our sealing industry; its vital role in subsistence living, the rise and decline of the industry, and the risks sealers faced and the disasters they experienced. Afterwards, visit our nearby sealers memorial and monument to learn more about the 1914 Newfoundland Sealing Disaster, as well as the local connection to the tragedy.
