Baetha Statues and Healing Garden
The Baetha Statues and Healing Garden honours Demasduit, one of the last Beothuk, her husband Nonosabasut, and their child. Featuring bronze sculptures, “Baetha” symbolizes Demasduit’s spiritual reunion with her family. Located on Blueberry Hill it offers a stunning view of the Botwood Harbour and overlooks the spot where Demasduit died in 1820. It serves as a serene place for acknowledging truth, nurturing reconciliation, and beginning the healing process. We invite visitors to contemplate this poignant history.
