We may not be the North Pole, but we here at Downhome like to think we have a link to the big guy in the red suit. Earlier this fall, our team called on kids and kids-at-heart to submit their letters to Santa, and boy, did you deliver! Our mailbags were overflowing! This is final installment of our Letters to Santa, thank you all. Merry Christmas!
Dear Santa,
My name is Cooper and I am just over two months old. I have been such a good boy since I was born, I’m even sleeping through the night!
I don’t need much for Christmas this year, but a “crawl-around car” would be nice as my mom says this will help me learn how to sit up when I’m ready!
Please don’t forget all my friends who are also celebrating their First Christmas, and all of the sick boys and girls.
See you soon! Love, Cooper
Dear Santa,
My name is Grace Emma Gosse, and I am 16 months old! I’m growing and learning so much every day, and Mommy and Daddy say I’m a very good girl (I think so too!). For Christmas this year, I would love some Little People princesses, mini animal toys, and a Tonibox audio player to enjoy. I promise to take good care of them and share lots of smiles and giggles with everyone around me.
We’ll leave some yummy treats for you and the reindeer on Christmas Eve—just be careful, because our huskies, Knox and Kasper, might try to sneak a bite! They’re very curious and love snacks too.
Love,
Grace
Hi Santa! My name is Brooks Russell from Conception Bay South, and I have been a very good boy this year.
For Christmas, I would really love a little live pet puppy and a blue transport truck. I also hope my cousin Ellie in Alberta gets a special gift, and that all my family and friends have a wonderful Christmas too.
Thank you, Santa! Love, Brooks
Dear Santa,
Thank you for the gifts I received last Christmas I enjoyed them very much. I’m excited for December to come to enjoy my Christmas Elf who is named Cupcake. He’s so much fun.
I don’t have a big list this year I would like you and your Elves to make me a wooden doll house with some new Barbies. Also a few crafts to keep me busy.
Please don’t forget my big sisters and family in Alberta send them something special. I hope every kid wakes up happy at Christmas full of love and joy.
Give Mrs. Claus a hug from me and I will have a treat waiting for you and your reindeers on Christmas Eve. Be safe.
Love, Jenna
Dear Santa,
My name is Jax and I am 5 months old (well, only 3 corrected). This will be my first Christmas EVER!!! I’ve been told I’ve been really good. Even the nurses in the NICU said so. Everyone tells me that this Christmas thing and you are a really big deal, and I can’t wait to find out what it is all about. Mommy said I get to ask for something from you. I would like a new truck to play with please. Also, could you bring a little something for my mommy and daddy and our two kitties? And please be good to all the amazing NICU nurses and doctors that helped me grow big and strong so I could go home with my family for this Christmas. Daddy said we will try and leave some homemade cookies for you (mommy may have to hide them from him), and some carrots for the reindeer.
Fly safe, love Jax
Dear Santa,
Hi! It’s me, Peyton Whalen. This will be my second Christmas and I’m so excited! Last year I was only four months old so I didn’t really understand what was happening but my mommy and daddy said I loved all the lights and music!
Santa I’ve learned a lot this year, and my family says I should definitely be on the nice list.
For Christmas I would love some new books, a cosy new outfit, a tee ball set, and some surprises in my stocking. Please don’t forget my family and friends (especially my fur brothers Chico and Jack), and please pay special attention to all the boys and girls who are spending Christmas in the hospital or away from their families.
Say ‘hi’ to Mrs. Claus and the elves for me, and please tell the reindeer I will have their carrots ready on Christmas Eve along with your milk and cookies.
Have a safe flight!
Love,
Peyton
Dear Santa,
My name is Austin Hayward, I’m 4 years old and I live in St. Stephens.
This year I would like a ride-on Jeep just like my sissys’ Jeep, a new tablet and a few surprises. Don’t forget my brothers Liam and Michael and my buddy Gerry who brings me surprises every day.
I will leave a surprise for you and the reindeer.
Love, Austin
Dear Santa,
Thank you so much for my gifts last year.
I am so excited for my second Christmas. I will be 14 months old! I have been so very good this year, even if sometimes I want to party in the middle of the night (sorry mom and dad).
This year for Christmas I really would like a Little People Castle, a cute tent, and some more books. Please don’t forget to give Milo, my puppy, some treats. He loves opening gifts, even more than me!
Please don’t forget the ones who need some holiday cheer most and be careful on your sleigh!
Merry Christmas, Santa!
Love, Lily Mae
Dear Santa,
My name is Rose and I am 4 years old. Mommy says I have been a really good girl this year. For Christmas I would really like a Bluey House. I’ve been asking for it all year! I really hope all the boys and girls get something that makes them happy for Christmas.
I will leave you yummy cookies and treats for the reindeer. I am so excited for you to come!
With lots of love, Rose
Dear Santa,
This year for Christmas I am so glad to be home in Newfoundland with my family, but most importantly my big sister Ava. This is our first Christmas we all get to celebrate together and I’m so excited. On my list this year I am asking for a new ball pit, Bluey toys, a pair of skates, a scooter and clothes and to make sure my sissy gets the Taylor Swift vinyl she really wants. But before you visit us Christmas Eve I want you to make sure you visit all the sick children in hospital first.
Please say Hi to Mrs. Claus and the elves for me as they work hard all year round before you begin your big journey around the world visiting all the little boys and girls.
Ps. I will make sure mommy bakes her tasty homemade chocolate chip cookies to leave out for you and a big glass of milk.
Love Always, Theo
Dear Santa,
My name is Kasey Chaulk and I am 2 years old and I live in Gander. Mommy and Daddy say I have been very good this year, and that I’m a smart, kind and funny little boy.
I love airplanes, ice cream, and the Toronto Blue Jays. This year for Christmas, I would like some monster trucks and Little People toys.
On Christmas Eve, please don’t forget my fur sister, Ava, my special cousins, my friends at Here We Grow daycare, and all the children spending Christmas in the hospital. I will leave milk and cookies out for you on Christmas Eve and carrots for your reindeer!
Love, Kasey
Dear Santa,
My name is Logan Genge and I am 8 years old. Thanks for my gifts last year.
For Christmas I would like three Mystery Mini Sticks (right hand), two Mini Sticks nets and a speed cube timer.
Have a safe trip, Santa!
Love, Logan (Grande Prairie, AB)
Dear Santa,
My name is Rylee and I am 3 years old. I have been a good girl all year. Thank you for all my wonderful presents last year. For Christmas I would like some Paw Patrol toys (Skye is my favorite), a Barbie, and some surprises. Please don’t forget my brother, Logan, and my cousins Nixon and Eliza in Corner Brook. My brother and I will leave milk and cookies for you and carrots for the reindeer.
Your friend, Rylee (Grande Prairie, AB)
Dear Santa,
This is your little friend Marshall Barker. I am writing this letter on behalf of myself and my new baby sister, Billie (8 months), with some help from Mommy.
Thank you so much for my gifts last year! I have tried to be a good boy all year and my Mommy says I have been trying my best, especially in the ‘big brother department’. This year I would love if you could bring me a shiny red balance bike, a skateboard, some monster trucks and a few surprises. My sissy would love a ring stacker and some surprises too!
Don’t forget about my cousin Lucy in North River and my cousins in Ontario and Alberta. Especially don’t forget the little boys and girls in the Janeway who can’t be home for Christmas. You can give them a few of my surprises if you need to, Santa! Drive safe and give Mrs. Claus a hug for us.
Love, Marshall and Billie
Dear Santa,
Hi! It’s your little buddy Alexander Cantwell.
I hope everyone at the North Pole is doing well! This year for Christmas, I would like a Minecraft Lego set, Operation The Grinch Board Game, and a couple of surprises. Thank you for the wonderful gifts you brought me last year. Please don’t forget all the children in the hospital, and my mom and dad. Safe travels Christmas Eve, and I will have a snack left out for you and your reindeer.
Say hi to everyone for me at the North Pole. I am so excited to see my Elf, Snowball, come back to visit. Take care!
Sincerely, Alexander
