Downhome Letters to Santa II

We may not be the North Pole, but we here at Downhome like to think we have a link to the big guy in the red suit. Earlier this fall, our team called on kids and kids-at-heart to submit their letters to Santa, and boy, did you deliver! Our mailbags were overflowing! Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more. Merry Christmas!

Dear Santa Paws,
Woof woof! It’s us, Boss and Sheruff!
We’ve been the bestest boys ever… mostly! We’ve been practicing our “sit” and “stay” (sort of), and we’ve even tried to be gentle with our toys… but no promises! This is Sheruff’s first Christmas, and he REALLY wants some super-long-lasting chews and TOUGH toys so he doesn’t eat the Christmas tree. We both would LOVE some squeaky balls and a new stuffy friend to cuddle! Can we also pwease have extra belly rubs and scritches? And maybe, just maybe, fewer baths?
Pleeeeease don’t forget about the doggos in shelters! They need some extra love and treats, too! We want them to find forever homes for Christmas.
We’ll leave out cookies and milk for you (our pawrents will keep Sheruff from sneaking them!). Thanks, Santa Paws! We can’t wait to see what you bring!
Woof woof, tail wags, and slobbery kisses,
Bossy and Sheruff

Dear Santa,
Please bring me new light purple luggage set and tickets to watch NHL games. Toronto vs Edmonton Oilers in Edmonton, Alberta in April with my cousin Suzette, visiting my family and friends, TikTok friends too, in Edmonton Alberta with my mom. And some nice surprises Christmas morning making her happy dreams come true. Don’t forget the sick children all over the world too.
Love Friends,
Amanda

Dear Santa,

I will be spending Christmas in Goose Cove with my Newfoundland family this year and I’m so excited! Please don’t forget all my little friends in Labrador city.
Love,
Claire

Merry Christmas and a wonderful happy New Year ahead.

This year for Christmas, I want a big dino egg with slime and a t-rex. I would like something little too, like a small race car. My sissy is really small so just bring her diapers.
Don’t forget to bring your bell this year for pictures at the mall, it’s really my favourite.
From your pal, Kevin

Dear Santa,
My name is Luke Walsh and I am 1 year old! I’m a little too young to write my own letter so mom and dad will write it for me. Thank you for all the wonderful presents last year, even though I don’t remember much, mom and dad made sure I had the best first Christmas. They said I’ve been such a good boy this year! For this Christmas I am asking for a pair of hockey skates, a Mickey Mouse transport truck set and anything else you would like to bring me!
Please don’t forget my big cousins Riley, Jonah and Jack, and also all the sick boys and girls.
We will leave you some milk, cookies and something special for the reindeers and Mrs. Claus. Safe travels!
Lots of love, Luke

Dear Santa,
I’ve been a very good boy this year. I’m all ready for Christmas in my cozy Christmas PJs. If you could bring me some of those Milk-Bones, a little bit of chocolate (just for me, not for my humans, of course), I’d be the happiest dog in the world!
Paw-lease and thank you!
Buddy

Hi Santa!
My name is Reed Taylor. I am 2 years old. I have been a very good kid this year!

Please don’t forget my cousins and all the other kids in the world.
I’ll be sure to leave your favourite snacks for you and your reindeer.
Love,
Reed

Dear Santa,
Hi, my name is Georgie and I’m two years old! Thank you for everything you gave me last year. Mom said that I have been a good girl but could use some improvement too!
This year, I would love a baby doll and some treats for my cats and dogs! Don’t forget my sisters Katie and Hailee and my brother Hunter! Thank you, Santa!
Love, Georgie

Dear Santa,
I am two years old now and I think I am finally starting to understand this whole Christmas thing. It’s really hard being a good boy all the time especially when you’re so little and have so many big feelings. I’ve tried my best though and Mommy says that’s what matters, so I think I’ll make it on the nice list.
This year I would really like a pop-up tent just like the one they have at my play group, some Paw Patrol toys, and my very own Woody like the one in my new favourite movie, Toy Story.
Also, don’t forget to bring some treats to my furry friends.
Please and thank-you,
Parker

Hi Santa!
Your buddy Charlotte Stagg here. I am just over 3.5 years old this year, and I love attending daycare with my friends. I hope that you and Mrs. Claus had a relaxing summer. I spent a lot of time at the beach, I love to swim! This year for Christmas I kindly ask that you bring me some Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig toys, I love both of those so much. I also love to read books before bed with Mom & Dad. Some new books would be nice too.
I live in Churchill Falls, Labrador with Mommy & Daddy, but I also have my biological family in Baker Lake, Nunavut. I have 5 siblings up North who I love so much. Could you please make sure you bring them what they ask for as well, it would make my heart so happy! As always I’ll have your snack waiting on Christmas Eve, and I won’t forget the reindeer!
Thanks Santa xox
Charlotte Stagg
