Days Gone By (St .Shott’s)
Resting high upon the grass of St. Shott’s, this weathered hull stands as a silent Relic to the graveyard of the Atlantic. Her cracked spine and peeling paint hold the ghosts of the Inshore Cod Fishery, echoing a time when she boldly rode the merciless North Atlantic swells. Inside her open belly lives the memory of the iron-willed St Shott’s fishermen who once pushed her out into the blinding fog before dawn. They were men with saltwater in their veins and calloused hands, pulling the Cod Fish bounty from the deep to carve a proud living out of rock and water. Though the lines have gone dry and the tides have left her behind, her hollow frame still vibrates with the strength of the families she fed and the heritage she carried. She is no longer just a boat; she is the sacred heartbeat of a forgotten era, anchored forever on the shores she once protected.
