The sunsets in LaScie are a sight to behold, even in the spring when the harbor is filled with pack ice!  This fishing boat was moored at the wharf, pinned in place by pack ice as far as the eye can see, with  a beautiful red-lit sky as the background.  Using a 200mm telephoto lens, I took several photos at various settings and this one became my favorite; a 10 second long-exposure shot that was possible due to the ice keeping the boat perfectly motionless. I was very happy how the photo turned out, as were the boat owners, who requested a copy when they seen it posted online......which I was more than happy to provide.
