Driving north on Gander Bay's dusty dirt road birch and aspen on both sides, we noticed newly erected utility poles lined up like life-changing phallic icons Electricity had come to Aspen Cove tiny fishing village in Gander Bay We drive down from Gander planned surprise visit for some ancient friends. We were welcomed warmly. Hardly in the kitchen when the Misses inquired, "Do you want a cup o' tea?" We politely declined, as we had just finished lunch. After we chatted a bit, she said, "Sure you don't want a nice cup o' tea?" Again we shook our heads and continued talking about this n' that and how are you, your family and all of that. Then she implored again, "Have a cup o'tea. It'll only take a minute." We looked at one another, raised our eyebrows and said nothing. For some reason - unknown to us - she silently left the room. The Skipper, with a smile and a smirk, whispered to us, "For God's sake, say you want a cup o' tea. She wants to plug-in the kettle." Submitted By: NULL
