Me Christmas Poem
Jesus might be the reason,
for this special season.
But Santa is the reason,
why me roof is leakin'.
He landed on da roof top,
last Christmas I do believe.
He came in a little too fast,
and hooked into da eave.
He plowed into me chimney,
and hung off the gable end.
Ripped off some of the shingles,
dats why da attic leaks every now and den.
He tore off the eavestrough,
and hooked into da lights.
I hope he has better luck dis year,
on Christmas Eve night.
I should leave him a repair bill,
instead of milk and cookies.
But dat was a year ago,
I guess I shouldn't act so foolish.
When da fat feller comes dis year,
flatout across the sky.
I hope he see's me sign I wrote,
"SANTA PLEASE LAND ON ME WHARF B'Y."
