Quick-Change Weather
No breath of wind to fill the sail,
Though, better than, a bloody gale!
The sea, becalmed, on this fine day,
A mirror, made, upon the bay.
But, not for long, this quiet state,
For just awhile, the winds abate;
A storm is brewing, ever nigh,
And soon, the sea, will heave a sigh.
Relieved that it can roll again,
Its surf will surge, along with rain,
And mighty gusts of wind will roar,
That shake my windows and my door.
I can hardly fathom such a change,
In weather patterns of such range;
When, just one moment, all is calm,
The next, the weather drops a bomb!
A quick-change artist, weather-wise,
And tendency to dramatize,
Our climate, clearly, takes the cake,
But as an actor, is no fake!
