Newfoundland
Your craggy rocks and sandy shores
Which surround your great domain
Of snow capped mountains tall
And meadows; Oh! So green,
Cradle those that live within your arms
To nurture at your breast.
Mother isle, we have known anguish and pain.
Yet, your sons and daughters, loyal remain.
Oh! Isle of my birth, I do not complain
For I love you as no other
And your son, I shall remain.
I will hold my head in pride
And confess from where I came
For you are my beautiful isle
And "New Found Land" is your name.
